My New Nephew!

Noah Jeremiah Buck
Born 9/18/09

Josh and I got to hang out with my niece and nephew, Hayleigh and Jordan, while my sister-in-law went in for her c-section.

Josh did a good job dividing his play time. He was such a good little host! He played cars with his cousin Jordan and dolls with his cousin Hayleigh. She made him the "dad" and he got to help push the stroller! Ha.

Another baby brother for Hayleigh! And this is my sister-in-law, Brandi.

My brother Ray, the proud father!

My Dad turns 50 tomorrow!

My dad turns 50 tomorrow! Where has the time gone?

We had his party last weekend. I guess I was too busy making the cake to get any pics. Hopefully I can get some from my step-mom. Anyway, this is the cake I made. He loved it! Gross, I know, but what can I say? Guys love poop humor!!! You can't read it very well from the pic, but it said "After 50, everything turns to crap."

Yes, it was all edible. The toilet water was gel icing and the "poop" was frosting too!

YUM!!!

Cause and Effect...

I know this isn't the best picture. You can't really even see Josh, but if you look closely at the tree house, you can see him sitting down in his blue shirt. Well, he apparently wouldn't let anyone in "his" tree house with shoes on. So of course, he had his off (*Disclaimer: I was NOT in the tree house and did not know about him taking his shoes off until it was too late.)

This is us trying to get the multiple splinters out of his feet. It was pretty hard to hold him and he was screaming really bad, but this picture really breaks my heart!

Josh is TWO!!!

The Party:

Bob the Builder Cake!

Digging in frosting first.

We got builder hats and decorated them with Bob stickers.

We painted trucks so we could be like builders too!

We got to play outside. The rain held off just in time.

We got a Bob pinata where they pulled strings to let the candy out,
then they had nail aprons to put all their loot in!

And he got lots of "NEW TOYS!"

The baseball game:

The Tichenors are my baseball buddies!

Clark and Gordon got to come! Yay!

Thanks Mom and Dad for my fun birthday!

The Joys of Motherhood

Well, Josh is sick again. Nothing to do with a pig though. Thank goodness. I was getting worried so we went to the doc this morning. But hopefully he won't get it now b/c there were already 25 positive cases before we got there by 11 and a ton more kids in the waiting room when we left. I hope we left all their germs behind.

Anyway, I have delt with many things so far being a mother in Josh's two whole years. First and most memorable, NO sleep. Then you have the standard, finding food in toys, moldy sippy cups that got lost, scratched/broken furniture, changing bedding in the middle of the night and of course all the little things like watching the same movie over and over and over day after day, tantrums, spills, etc. The list goes on.

But I have now added two bigs ones to my list of motherhood duties (no pun intended!). I love my baby. He is a trip. He makes me smile more than anything ever has. And he's a pretty good baby when he's sick. He still plays, but you get some snuggle time in too. Anyway, today I have graduated to a new level. The boy is just so good that he squirted poop right out of his diaper missing it and his shorts to leave the whole liquid mess on MY LAP!!! this morning. Now after coming home from the doctor, I have scraped diarrhea from his diaper into a vial and have to put it in the freezer!!! I have to fill up FOUR of them!!! Greg ran away doing all but screaming and gagging. Ha.

So I say again, oh the joys of being a mom!!!

*EDIT:
So, seriously, this is such a low point in my life. It is just NASTY!!!! I have to scrape the diaper and scoop it in a tube. Oh the grossness! And he's not had much to work with. I finally got one filled and had to freeze it. But a disclaimer to all those who will eat at our house in the future, I put it on it's own little shelf NOT touching any food!
